Come See the Paradise
This is the story of Jack McGurn, who arrived in Los Angeles in 1936 and is one of the darker details in American history. He gets a job in a movie theater in Little Tokyo and falls in love with the boss Lily Kawamura's daughter. When her father finds out, he is released and never sees her again. But they run to Seattle together. When war breaks out, the authorities decide that Japanese immigrants, like prisoners of war, must live in camps.
Come See the Paradise is one of my favorite movies from year 1990. The term 'Best' is as you know a relative term. What you or I consider as the best may not even be in someone else's top list. So the general rule is to proclaim the one which majority of the folks like as the best. Nevertheless, according to me the following can be regarded as some of the finest movie ever made.
